Dragon is China's mascot, and it is also one of the worshipful totems of Bai nationality in Dali.By the edge of Butterfly Spring, five clean springs spew from the five dragonheads,to form a wonderful scene, where five Dragons spew water and water splashes. In the five smaller ponds under the dragonheads, the sprays splash and the water is transparent,to form the beautiful scene of "clean spring water flowing on stone".This is the Five Dragons Pool.

In the heart of Bai nationality in Dali,five-dragon's water spray means auspiciousness. Therefore,if the people of Bai nationality come to Butterfly Spring, they will surely wash hands here, because this indicates health, happiness, beautiful love and joy of harvest.
